My husband and I were watching Special Report with Brit Hume earlier this evening, when Mara Liasson, one of the Fox All Stars, said something that stunned us both. She said, and I am paraphrasing here, that the Muhammad cartoons were bad, but the reactions to the cartoons were equally egregious. Equally?! My husband almost choked on his spaghetti when he heard that.
Does she actually believe that drawing caricatures of Muhammad is equal to rioting, sacking and torching embassies, and wreaking havoc all over Europe? I hope it was just a really poor choice of words.
I thought for sure someone from the panel would call her on it but no one did. Not even Charles.
