French Newspaper Publishes Cartoons
Update: Charlie Hebdo not only reprinted the 12 cartoons, but it also published one of its own and put it on the cover! Some French Muslims sued to attempt the keep the cartoons from being published but lost that suit.
A French satirical weekly reprinted cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad on Wednesday and published one of its own on its front page, further angering Muslim groups which say the caricatures are blasphemous. French Muslim organizations tried to prevent Charlie Hebdo reprinting the 12 cartoons, which were first published by the Danish paper Jyllands-Posten, but a court rejected their suit on Tuesday on a technicality.
I have to give these Muslims credit for using legal and non-violent means for expressing their anger and disapproval of the cartoons. I hope they don't riot since they lost the lawsuit.
Update II: I was, unfortunately, premature, and I must say, completely silly (what was I thinking?), in my hopes of a non-violent expression of anger in response to the cartoon reprints in France. Bomb threats are coming in to Charlie Hebdo.

Gateway Pundit has all the information on the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo, which published the 12 cartoons. In response, Jacques Chirac apologized. So much for a new backbone.
Tell me, how is it a French publication stands up for freedom of speech and freedom of the press in the face of danger and the majority of American media waves the white flag of surrender?
